How do AI agents work, in simple terms?
Think of a small workshop, not a robot genius. A job comes in the door. The planner splits it into steps. The researcher gathers facts and keeps a receipt for each one. The writer builds the draft. The checker reads every claim and is allowed to reject the whole thing. Each worker is an AI agent: it has one job, the tools for that job, and a clear rule for when to pass the work on. No single agent is smart enough to be trusted alone. The board is what you trust: small jobs, clean hand-offs, and a checker in the way.

How do AI agents work together?
The secret is that the job carries its own history. When the researcher passes to the writer, the writer gets the facts and the receipts, not a summary. When the checker says no, the rejection carries the reason, so the writer knows exactly what to fix. And when the checker says yes, the work arrives at your desk with its whole trail: planned, sourced, drafted, checked. Agents do not chat with each other like coworkers at lunch. They pass one growing package of work, and the package is the conversation.
